I'm a current user of VE Pro 5. I use it on my Mac desktop with OS 10.7.5 and on a Windows desktop machine with Windows 7 Pro. I'm probably going to get a laptop and would like to connect that machine with my current setup. I haven't decided yet whether I'll get a Mac or PC laptop. But I'm wondering if I can still download a copy of VE Pro 5 for the laptop. I'm not ready to upgrade the Mac desktop yet (where my DAW resides), and it would not be compatible with VE Pro 6. Thanks for any info.

According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software. SINEplayer needs to get online once after installation to activate. It also needs an internet connection to download instruments, though you can download instruments on whichever machine you like and transfer them to another machine (even cross-platform). After SINEplayer has been activated, you never need to go online again if you download your instruments on another machine. We however recommend letting SINEplayer online at least sporadically so you can benefit from updates.
An internet connection on any computer and a free user-accout at www.ilok.com is required to authorize the product. In order to download and install your software products and sample libraries authorized via iLok, please use the Vienna Assistant.

DrumCore 4 is an AAX/VST3/AU plug-in instrument with 24-bit audio and MIDI drum loops of inspiring performances by famous drummers, and their multi-velocity sampled drum kits. With its improved browser and searching, 64-bit compatibility, mixer view with insert effects, song timeline for assembling loops, and integrated store with previews, DrumCore 4 is the perfect tool for songwriters, composers, musicians and producers. Choose to use royalty-free drum loops by celebrity drummers (provided as tempo-adjustable GrooveSets in a wide variety of styles), or create your own grooves with the drummers' kits, which are MIDI-mapped and customizable, making DrumCore easy to use with external controllers. Drag and drop grooves to tracks in most popular recording applications on Mac and Windows. DrumCore 4 is available in three editions ($49/$249/$639) that contain the same plug-in. The differences are how it is delivered (download, USB Flash drive or Solid State drive) and the amount of content.DrumCore 4 Prime ($249): 20 GB of content, including 160 GrooveSets (10,000 and 2,000 MIDI loops and fills) by 17 drummers, and 100 multi-velocity sampled kits. DC4 Prime Link ($249) is available as a download, and DC4 Prime Flash ($249) is delivered on a 32 GB USB 3.0 flash drive for easy installation and portability. Compare DC4 Editons.
DrumCore 4 Prime contains more than ten thousand tempo-stretchable, royalty free audio drum loops and fills recorded in sparkling 24-bit 48kHz format. Many of the loops also have a matching MIDI version to edit or create your own fills and rhythms that work seamlessly with the audio. These MIDI files can be used to trigger the included 100 multi-velocity sampled drum kits. Not enough? DrumCore 4 includes an integrated store, built directly in the plugin, which allows you to purchase and download more loops, MIDI files, and sampled kits from an ever growing collection.
The included Epic Orchestra library takes up about 6.2GB on your hard drive and includes a greatest hits package of Vienna's larger libraries. The basic sections of strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion are provided with limited articulations. For example, the strings are presented as one patch ensemble mapped across the keyboard from basses to violins, with sustain, staccato, sforzato, tremolo and pizzicato articulations. Most of the other included instrument sections follow a similar format. A few bonuses are included which use Vienna's famed performance scripts like the Oboe d'amore (with legato performances) and the Cornet (with legato and portamento performances). The samples are recorded relatively dry, so depending on your project, you'll have to add your own reverb to put them in the right space. It's a very usable though limited set that works well for basic orchestrations, but for more detailed work you'll want a more full-featured library. 2ff7e9595c
